Central Government has launched PM Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Scheme in order to provide jobs to citizens in organized sectors so that they will be able to sustain their livelihood by securing a safe job. Employment opportunities will be given to those applicants who have been registered under Employee Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO.

Atamanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana has been launched under the Government of India with a view to providing jobs to those applicants who have left their job due to the covid -19 pandemic and have salaries less than 15,000. To them, the government will provide them jobs in the organized sector so that they will never be get expelled due to any pandemic.

Objectives Of Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Scheme 2024

One of the main objective of starting ABRY is to provide employment as well as job facility to the candidates who lost their jobs during the COVID 19 pandemic. By applying under this scheme, those applicants who have lost their jobs during the coronavirus pandemic will play a positive role in bringing stability to their employment structure.

By applying under the Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme, the benefit of the scheme will be provided by the Central Government to those applicants who have previously registered under the Provident Fund. And in another instance, if they are already registered under the provident fund, and they are getting a salary less than Rs 15000 per month.

Central Government has especially started this scheme in order to provide relief to those applicants who have left out their jobs due to covid-19. So the government will put more emphasis on providing employment to those applicants who have been registered with EPFO and earning the per month salary of Rs. 15,000.

21 Lakh Employees Got Employment Opportunities

Around 21 lakhs of applicants have been able to get benefits under this scheme by getting employment opportunities provided by the central government. For providing jobs to 21 lakhs of applicants Rs. 22,810 crores of expenditure have been spent by the Government. It is mandatory for an applicant that he must be registered with the EPFO organization during covid-19 while applying under this scheme.

Budget Of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana

Within launching ABRY, government has also set limitations on the budget which will be spent out for the completion of this scheme. The budget for this scheme has been approved by the Union Cabinet under the Central Government. About Rs. 6000 Crores of budget have been approved by the Union Cabinet for the successful implementation of this scheme for the period from 2020-2023.

Installation Of Public WiFi Network Interface

A new update has been received regarding this scheme that the union cabinet has approved for the installation of a Public WiFi Network Interface in order to facilitate the promotion of the digital revolution throughout the country. The government has taken a decision to open Public Data Offices at various places in India. For opening this Public Data Offices, no registration and license will be required.

Around 71.80 lakh of applicants will be able to get benefit under this scheme.

Government will deposit 12% of employees share to the EPFO fund.

Under Aatamnirbhar Bharat Rozgar Scheme, a total of 24% (12% of the employee’s own work and 12% of the employee’s share which is giving to the employee) will be deposited by the central government under the Provident Fund EPFO, if the employee’s capacity is less than 1000.
In another type of working organizations, 12% of the employees working in such organizations will be deposited by the Central Government under Employees’ Provident Fund EPFO, if the employee’s capacity is more than 1000.
Around 5 surveys have been conducted for measuring the performance of this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

For applying under Aatamnirbhar Bharat Rozgar Scheme, the applicant must possess the following criteria mentioned below:-

Those applicants will be considered applicable who have lost their jobs between 1^st March to 30^th September 2020.
Applicants registered under EPFO will be considered ineligible for applying.
Monthly Income of the applicant must be less than 15,000.
Those establishments will also be considered applicable if their establishments have appointed at least 2 new employees and their establishment has 50 employees in the reference base.
In another case if the reference base of their establishment includes more than 50 employees, then they will be able to avail benefits under this scheme only if they have appointed at least 5 new employees in their establishment.
