Objectives of DDA Housing Scheme 2024

The foremost objective of launching the Housing Scheme under the Delhi Development Authority is to provide free of cost housing facilities to all the landless and homeless citizens of the state who can’t afford homes for living due to their financial difficulties. The aim of distributing 18000 flats has been fixed by the Government.

The other aim of starting the DDA Housing Scheme is to provide homes to those people who are searching for their living a dream house. Only HIG, MIG, LIG and EWS categories of state can take benefit under this scheme. Delhi Government wants to remove the burden of financial instability from the shoulders of poor people so that they can improve their living standards.

Beginning Of Apartment Allocation

On 10 March 2021, the working of apartment allocation will take place at 11:00 A.M. During the apartment allocation, all the senior officials, as well as judges of the Delhi Development Authority, will be present there. Program of apartment allocation will broadcast live on mobile phones or computers through the internet so that the public can watch it live.

Flats Distribution

By launching Special Housing Scheme under the Delhi Development Authority, the government has set an aim of distributing 18000 flats to poor people. Flats have been available at different locations within the Delhi state. Around 572 no. of flats have been made available for economically weaker sections of the society. 202 flats are available for higher-income groups, 976 flats are available for middle-level groups.

47,000 Applications Received

Within the launching of this scheme, around 47,000 applications have been received by the applicants for registration. Around Rs. 69.92 lakhs to Rs. 2.14 million will have the cost per flat for Higher Income Groups and the area will cover about 87.9 square feet to 177.3 squares feet. The cost of Flats available for Middle Income Groups will be Rs. 40.64 lakhs to 1.24 crores.

Assistance Of Awas Software

DDA Housing Scheme has been launched with the aid of Awas software. By using Awas Software, the applicant will not need to visit the DDA office. Beneficiaries can complete all the formalities regarding their payment status and application procedure through this software. Within 90 days, applicants have to deposit the unit cost of the flat.

Transmission of Documents

Beneficiaries will not need to visit the DDA office for the paperwork for the execution of transmission documents. All the document formalities will be carried out by the use of the Awas Software app. All the payments regarding the cost of the premium, cost of construction, and charges for land premium will be paid by using this app.

Bidding Process

Whenever the bidder will get ownership of the apartment after making online registration, he/she will receive the Certificate which will be digitally signed by the concerned authorities. But before taking ownership, the bidder must upload all the necessary documents on their software.

Refund Of Flat Fee

In case any information is found mismatched by the bank by the applicant, then the cancellation procedure will begin through the online mode. Money will get refunded in the name of the first applicant if the application has been received from the joint account holder. The applicant must hold Current/NRO/NRE accounts. IFSC code should be clearly mentioned by the applicant.
