PM Matsya Sampada Yojana 2024

Central Government has launched PM Matsya Sampada Yojana with a view to providing loan facilities to those farmers who are working in the fisheries fields. Employment opportunities will also get increased by providing loan facilities. Special attention will be given to the quality of fish. Department will soon organize training for the farmers at the district level.

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Scheme has been launched under the Government of India. This scheme has been specially started for encouraging the farmers from the fishery field so that they will be able to improve their standard of living. Objectives Of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana 2024

One of the foremost objective of launching the Matsya Sampada Scheme is to promote the field of fish farming field. For the promotion of fish farming, the government will provide loans to them. A farmer will be get training organized by the government at the district level. This will put emphasis on upgrading the fishery sector among the farmers.

Another objective of launching PM Matsya Sampada Yojana is to increase the salaries of farmers by providing them with a loan facility consisting of 3 lakhs. Farmers will be empowered to sustain their fishery field. This will also readdress the gaps in fish production. In order to bring active participation of huge collectivity of farmers, this scheme has been extended to all the states and UTs.

Certificate Courses For Fisheries Education

In order to promote fish production in the fisheries field, the government is soon going to provide certificate courses for imparting the values and knowledge of fisheries education among the farmers. By providing these certificate courses to the farmers of fisheries, farmers will be get trained in order to bring development in fish production.

Implementation of Matsya Sampada Yojana

Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 6000 crores for the expenditure plan. It has been estimated that around 2 million ranchers will be able to get benefits from their fish production. Government has set the target of producing 15 million tons of fish creation by 2020. By 2022-2023, around 20 million tons of fish creation will be raised.

Launching of e-Gopala App

For the facilitation of managing livestock of fisheries, government has also launched an app with the name of e-Gopala App. After downloading this app, fishermen will be able to manage their livestock online without having to go anywhere. There are many facilities that will be provided under this app as per follows: –

  • Buying and selling of germplasm.
  • Guidance for animal nutrition.
  • Breeding services.
  • Treatment facilities for animals.
  • Availability of ayurvedic medicines for the treatment of animals.

Positive Impacts On Fishery Production

After the successful implementation of this scheme, there will be many positive impacts which we will be able to see such as: –

  • There will be 9 percent of annual growth in fish production.
  • There will be increase in the fish export income from 46, 589 crores to 1 lakh crores.
  • Production of aquaculture will be increase to 5 tonnes per hectare.
  • There will be decrease in the loss of crops.
  • Consumption of domestic fish will be increased from 5 kg to 12 kg per person.
  • Fish Production will be increased to 137.50 lakhs metric tones by 2019.
  • GVA of fisheries sector will be increased to 7.28 % by 2025.

Components Of Matsya Sampada Yojana

If we see the full analysis of this scheme then there will be two components of this scheme: – 1st is CS which is known as Central Sector Scheme and 2nd is Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS). In other words, we can say that Central Sector Scheme and Centrally Sponsored Scheme are the two components of this scheme that serves as branches for fishery production.
