YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme 2024

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s has started an initiative with the name YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme. This scheme has been specially launched for the farmers of the state.  Financial assistance of Rs. 13500 per family of cultivators will be allotted by the Government. The benefit of this scheme will be extended by 5 years.

Rythu Bharosa Scheme has been launched during the Andhra Pradesh elections. Reddy’s government has promised that whenever elections will run and they will win the election they will work upon this scheme in order to provide economical assistance to crop cultivators. The amount of benefit of this scheme will be provided to the beneficiaries in 3 instalments.

Objectives Of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme 2024

One of the foremost objectives of launching the Rythu Bharosa Scheme AP is to provide financial assistance to all the farmers of the state so that their crop production will increase, so that they may not have to face their financial difficulties while dealing with their daily expenses. By applying under this scheme, the burden of debt from the applicant’s shoulders will get removed.

One of the main objectives of starting the AP YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme is to make the farmers of the Andhra Pradesh self-empower and self-reliant so that after applying under this scheme, they will not have to take the burden of debt while dealing with their economical problems. Financial assistance of Rs. 13500 per annum will be given to the applicant. 

Budget of AP YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme

An amount of Rs. 6534 crores of budget have been sanctioned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the successful implementation of this scheme. Around Rs. 3675 have been spent on the first instalment. Official authorities have used the mode of Direct Benefit Transfer for crediting the amount of benefit to the beneficiaries account number.

Details Of 3rd Installments

The details of 3rd installments of this scheme are as follows:-

• First installment: – An amount of Rs. 7500 will be transferred to the applicant’s bank accounts till May 2020.
• Second installment: – An amount of Rs. 4000 will be transferred to the applicant’s bank accounts till 27^th October 2020.
• Third installment: – An amount of Rs.  2000 will be transferred to the applicant’s bank accounts till June 2021.

So the total amounts of all 3rd instalments will be Rs. 13500.

1^st Installment Of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme

On 15^th May 2020, an amount of Rs. 5500 has been transferred to all the eligible beneficiaries’ account numbers with the mode of Direct Benefit Transfer. About 49 lakh of beneficiaries have been getting benefited under 1st instalment. The amount of 1st instalment has been distributed by the Chief Minister through the Video Conference.

2^nd Installment Of Rythu Bharosa Scheme

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has transferred Rs. 2000 in 2^nd instalment to the bank accounts of eligible applicants. The government has allocated Rs. 1114.87 crores of budget for the second phase. Around 50,47,383 beneficiaries have been able to get the benefit of this amount. The subsidy amount of Rs. 135.7 Crores has also been transferred to those farmers who have faced heavy losses in the Kharif season.

3^rd Installment Of AP Rythu Bharosa Scheme

On 28^th Decemeber2020, the State Government of AP has transferred an amount of Rs. 5500 to all the eligible beneficiaries’ account numbers with the mode of Direct Benefit Transfer in the last instalment. Around 51.56 lakhs of beneficiaries have got their benefit. Rs. 1766 crores have been spent while transferring money.

Financial Assistance For Purchasing Seeds

Financial assistance of Rs. 55,000 will be provided to farmers for purchasing seeds for their farming land. This amount of benefit will be allocated by the Commissioner of the agriculture department on 22^nd April 2020. Rs. 75,000 will be given to those applicants who belong to the SC, ST and OBC categories.

Budget Of Agriculture Sector

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has approved Rs. 68,000 crores for the financial year 2020-2021 budget for the Agriculture sector. Out of this allocation budget, Rs. 960 crores have been allocated for the procurement of Paddy dues. For the waiving interest, Rs. 688 crores have been given.

Third Tranche Of Rythu Bharosa Scheme

An amount of Rs. 1036 crores have been allotted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the 3^rd tranche under the AP YRS Rythu Bharosa Scheme. Around 50, 58,489 no. of beneficiaries will be covered. At the Tadepalli from the Camp Office, the amount of benefit has been transferred to the applicants’ bank account numbers by the Chief Minister.

Guidelines Of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme

Some guidelines have been issued by the Government regarding this scheme as follows:-

• Tenant Farmers can also apply under this scheme.
• Tenant Farmers must hold farming land consisting of 1 acre in case they are using this land for the purpose of horticulture and sericulture.
• Half acres of cultivable land must be own by the tenant farmers if they are using this land for the purpose of growing vegetables, flowers and some fodder crops.
• If the tenant farmers own cultivable land for the cultivation of Beta Vines, then they must occupy the farming land of 0.1 acres.

Benefits of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme 2024

The benefits of this scheme are as follows:-

• This scheme is only applicable for the farmers of the state. So the farmers as well as crop cultivators can take benefit of this scheme.
• By applying under Rythu Bharosa Scheme, farmers will get economical assistance provided by the Government.
• Beneficiaries will get financial assistance of Rs. 13,500 per annum.
• Financial assistance for year will be given at 0% interest to the applicants.
• This scheme has been extended for 5 years, so the amount of benefit for the 5 years will be Rs. 67,500.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must possess the following mentioned eligibility criteria for applying under this scheme:-

• This scheme is only applicable for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.
• Only the farmers of the state will be given priority for applying.
• Small marginal farmers as well as agriculture tenant farmers can also make their registration under this scheme.
• The applicant must ensure that he or she hold 5 acres of cultivable land for farming purpose.

Ineligibility Criteria

Following applicants are excluded from applying under this scheme:

• Those farmers who get monthly pension of Rs. 10,000 are excluded from applying under this scheme.
• Those farmers who pay GST as well as professional tax are also considered ineligible for applying under this scheme.
• Those farmers’ families who belong to the institutional landholders are also not given priority for applying.
• Professionals such as doctors and engineer lawyers are not allowed to take benefit of this scheme.
• Those applicants who pay income tax are also excluded under this scheme.
