Chief Minister of Gujarat has launched Vidhva Sahay Scheme with a motive to provide financial assistance to widows and to encourage them to take a stand on their own foot by providing a pension of Rs. 1250 each month. With this incentive, they will be able to give some support to their family members as well as for their children’s education.

Gujarat Vidhva Sahay Yojana has been launched by the Chief Minister. By applying under this scheme incentive of Rs. 1250 per month will be transferred to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. Objectives of Gujarat Vidhva Sahay Yojana 2024

One of the foremost objective of launching the Vidhva Sahay Scheme is to provide basic income support to widows of the family who can’t earn money for their basic livelihood because their husband has died. The government has made provisions to transfer an amount of Rs. 1250 to widow beneficiary. The amount of benefit will be transferred the first week of every month.

Another objective of launching Gujarat Vidhva Sahay Yojana is to encourage and boost up the confidence of widow women so that they will be persuaded to sustain their life without having the support of their husbands. Within this allocated amount, they will be empowered to live a better life. This amount of benefit can also be used for investment in a child’s education.

Application Fees

At the time of making registration for enrolling under this scheme, the applicant will need to pay out the charges which are applicable for carrying out the application fees. In order to enrol yourself under this scheme, the applicant will be liable to pay Rs. 20 as the Application Fees.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure will start from the submission of the application form by the applicants at the time of making registration under this scheme. Concerned officials will verify the application form along with the documents attached with it. After scrutinizing the documents, those applicants who have been got accepted will be notified by sending an approval letter to them.

This scheme will only be beneficial for those widow women who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and belong to the Economical Weaker Section (EWS) and have an age limit from 18 to 60 years.
