About PM Svanidhi Scheme 2024

Our honorary Prime Minister of India has started a new scheme with the name of Svanidhi Yojana with a view to providing a loan of up to Rs. 10,000 to all street vendors, self-reliant vendors and small street vendors of the country so that they will be able to resume their means of livelihood that have been largely affected due to the era of the Covid19 pandemic.

Only the street vendors or self-reliant vendors will be able to take benefit under Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Scheme 2023. The central government will provide them with a loan of Rs. 10,000 and with this the vendors have also to repay this loan with an annual subsidy of 7%. A target of 50 lakh people has been set under this scheme, which means only about 50 lakh people of the country will be able to apply under this scheme.

Objectives Of Svanidhi Scheme 2024

The main and primary objective of launching the Svanidhi Scheme by the Prime Minister of India is to loan Rs 10,000 to all the street vendors, small vendors, etc. During covid 19 pandemic, those people who have lost their jobs and basic earning of their livelihood by facing difficulties in their life during that period, this scheme also empowers them to start up for their own work

Within launching this PM Svanidhi Scheme, Central Government has also set a limit of 50 lakh on the no. of applicants who can apply under this scheme. With the help of this scheme, vendors and all kinds of all small vendors of the state will become able to bear startup for their own work without having suffered from economic instability and may be able to develop further.

2.0 Strategy Of PM Svanidhi Yojana/ Scheme

2.0 strategy of PM Svanidhi Yojana/ Scheme has been launched in Uttar Pradesh. In Uttar Pradesh, a target of about 1361 was set up by the government in the first phase. And they have accomplished this target of1st phase. After the accomplishment of the first phase, the government has also started 2nd phase on 14 December 2021, with this 11 applicants have been able to get apply under this scheme. In the second phase, a target of about 2600 applicants was set up by the government.

Chief Minister Of UP Benefitted To Lot Of Vendors

Under the PM Svanidhi Scheme, the amount of benefit to all the beneficiaries was distributed by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Up to 50,000 eligible beneficiaries has been able to get apply under this scheme. The government has spent Rs 50 crore to 50,000 eligible beneficiaries for providing benefits. In the second phase, the government has spent an expenditure of Rs. 20,000 to crores of applicants. After that letters of loan, sanction has also been distributed to the beneficiaries who have applied under this scheme.

Camp Organized By The Government Of UP

Within the launching of the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Scheme 2023, the state government of Uttar Pradesh has also organized a camp for increasing the number of vendors for making registration under this scheme. At least 3 places the Uttar Pradesh have been used for making camping facilities. All the eligible applicants will be able to get loans in order to sustain their livelihood during the corona pandemic under this scheme through the camp organized by the UP.

Facilitation Of Digital Transactions

Various efforts have been made by the government in order to bring the country’s face towards digitalization. Within the provision of digitalization services, facilities of cashless will be provided to all the eligible beneficiaries under PM Svanidhi Scheme. Whenever the applicant will make any digital payment, their credit score will also get increased by making cashless payments.

Various apps can be used by the street vendors such as – Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and Bharat Pay. At the time of making digital payments by the street vendors, a cashback of Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 will be credited to the beneficiary account. A cashback of Rs. 50 will only be provided to the vendor when he has done more than 50 transactions.

Assistance Of IT Platform

For the successful implementation of this scheme, the administration has launched an IT Platform in order to facilitate the working of the beneficiary’s mobile number for verification. This app has been launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Urban Local Body.

IT Platform is the one kind of solution which has been provided to the Government for the successful implementation of this scheme.

Features Of PM Svanidhi Yojana 2024

Features of this scheme are as follows:-

Under this Svanidhi Scheme, all kind of small vendors, street vendors, self-reliant vendors have been covered for providing them employment opportunities.
A loan amount of Rs 10,000 will be provided by the central government to the small vendors.
Within providing 10,000 amount of loan, the government has also set criteria that the applicant has also to repay the loan.
The beneficiaries have to repay the loan at the interest rate of 7%.
Applicants can repay the amount of loan in easy installments.
The duration for repaying the loan by the applicant has been set up for 1 year.
The self-reliant India package is the main package through which this Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi scheme is operating.
For the successful implementation of this scheme, about 50 thousand crore of rupees have been fixed by the government under this supervision of self-reliant India package.
Direct Benefit Transfer will be the mode of transfer for transferring money to the beneficiaries within their respective bank accounts.
