Objectives Of Biju Pakka Ghar Scheme
One of the foremost objectives of launching this Odisha Biju Pakka Ghar scheme is to provide free of cost Pakka housing facilities to all poor as well as needy residents of the state Odisha. This Scheme is more and more focused on improving the living standards as well as living standards of the people of Odisha.
Another main objective of this Pakka Ghar Yojana is to construct a Pakka house for those people who have been living in the kutcha house. All the housing facilities which will be provided to each eligible applicant will be based free of cost. Financial Assistance To EWS
Financial assistance of Rs. 5000 will be given to the beneficiaries of the EWS category. Deadline For Constructing Houses
Those applicants who have applied under this scheme; are required to build their houses within the deadline of 12 months (1year) within their first instalment which they have benefited from the DBT through this scheme. Considerable Expense
For IAP and Non-IAP districts, the government has fixed different amounts of unit costs. And this unit cost may vary from time to time revision. The cost of benefit will be provided to the applicants in 4 instalments. The unit cost of Rs. 1, 20,000 has been set up for the non- IAP district and the Unit cost of Rs. 1, 30,000 have been set up for the IAP district.
Assistance Of Loan
Within the provision of this scheme, the government will also provide loan facilities to the beneficiary up to Rs. 70,000. They can borrow loans from any kind of lending institution such as banks. A meeting will be organized with the banker’s committee for discussing the terms and conditions that are a must for lending loans to borrowers. Management Of Financial Affairs
Finance reports will be audited by the auditor general of Odisha or the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. Acquisition Of Construction Materials

Selection Procedure

- District level committee will be constituted by the Government for the selection of eligible beneficiaries.

Allocation of Amount In Installments
Amount of benefit will be provided to the beneficiary in 4 instalments as per follows:-
- When the order for constructing house will be issued, amount of Rs. 20000 will be provided to applicant in 1st installment.
- Whenever the construction work will reach the lintel level, amount of benefit in the 2nd installment will be paid by the Government. Rs. 35000 will be provided for AIP districts, and for Non-IAP districts amount of Rs. 30000 will be paid by the government.
- Amount of benefit will be provided in 3rd installment to the beneficiary whenever the working of roof will get finished. Rs. 45000 will be paid by the government for IAP Districts and for Non-IAP district; Rs. 40000 will be compensated by the government.
- Amount of Rs. 30000 in the 4th installment will be provided to the applicant when the house will be full constructed with the toilets facilities.
