Objectives Of Biju Pakka Ghar Scheme

One of the foremost objectives of launching this Odisha Biju Pakka Ghar scheme is to provide free of cost Pakka housing facilities to all poor as well as needy residents of the state Odisha. This Scheme is more and more focused on improving the living standards as well as living standards of the people of Odisha.

Another main objective of this Pakka Ghar Yojana is to construct a Pakka house for those people who have been living in the kutcha house. All the housing facilities which will be provided to each eligible applicant will be based free of cost. Financial Assistance To EWS

Financial assistance of Rs. 5000 will be given to the beneficiaries of the EWS category. Deadline For Constructing Houses

Those applicants who have applied under this scheme; are required to build their houses within the deadline of 12 months (1year) within their first instalment which they have benefited from the DBT through this scheme. If the applicant wants to extend the construction size of his or her house, then the applicant can also do this later.

Considerable Expense

For IAP and Non-IAP districts, the government has fixed different amounts of unit costs. And this unit cost may vary from time to time revision. The cost of benefit will be provided to the applicants in 4 instalments. The unit cost of Rs. 1, 20,000 has been set up for the non- IAP district and the Unit cost of Rs. 1, 30,000 have been set up for the IAP district.

Assistance Of Loan

Within the provision of this scheme, the government will also provide loan facilities to the beneficiary up to Rs. 70,000. They can borrow loans from any kind of lending institution such as banks. A meeting will be organized with the banker’s committee for discussing the terms and conditions that are a must for lending loans to borrowers. By fulfilling all the terms and conditions, the applicants will be able to get the loan.

Management Of Financial Affairs

Finance reports will be audited by the auditor general of Odisha or the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. At the state level, DDO PR & DW department has been hired for the management of financial affairs such as transferring the amount of benefit to the account numbers of applicants by the mode of Direct Benefit Transfer.

Acquisition Of Construction Materials

The district administration will provide and arrange all the construction materials like cement, steel, brick, etc. The beneficiaries can also purchase the construction materials from the other suppliers of their choice or other suppliers which has been decided by the district administrator.

Selection Procedure

The applicants have to follow the mentioned below steps for knowing about the Selection Procedure under BPGY Scheme/ Biju Pakka Ghar Yojana List :-

District level committee will be constituted by the Government for the selection of eligible beneficiaries.
List of the beneficiaries will be approved by the district committee and they will forward this list to the district collector.
Then after the list of beneficiaries has been forwarded to the District Collector, he will also forward this list to the BDO.
If within the stipulated amount of time Or deadline which has been set up the government for approving the list, district level committee have not yet approved the list of the beneficiaries within their time which has been allocated to them then, the district collector can use his powers in order to approve the list.
At the concerned gram Panchayat/ block headquarters, the list of the beneficiaries will get finalized and published.
On the DRDA website and state rural housing portal, list of the beneficiaries will get available.

Beneficiaries Of This Scheme

Only those house owners can avail the benefit of this scheme, whose houses have been partially as well as fully damaged by the natural disasters or any other type of manmade disaster.
People belong from scheduled tribe categories and are living in forest dwellers type of home.
People who belong to extremely poor conditions, extremely vulnerable.
Those applicants can also avail who have been affected or suffered by occupational disease.

Allocation of Amount In Installments

Amount of benefit will be provided to the beneficiary in 4 instalments as per follows:-

When the order for constructing house will be issued, amount of Rs. 20000 will be provided to applicant in 1^st installment.
Whenever the construction work will reach the lintel level, amount of benefit in the 2^nd installment will be paid by the Government. Rs. 35000 will be provided for AIP districts, and for Non-IAP districts amount of Rs. 30000 will be paid by the government.
Amount of benefit will be provided in 3^rd installment to the beneficiary whenever the working of roof will get finished. Rs. 45000 will be paid by the government for IAP Districts and for Non-IAP district; Rs. 40000 will be compensated by the government.
Amount of Rs. 30000 in the 4^th installment will be provided to the applicant when the house will be full constructed with the toilets facilities.

Benefits Of Pakka Ghar Scheme Odisha 2023-24

The benefits of this scheme are as follows: –

By applying under BPGY 2023, Government of Odisha will provide free housing facilities to the poor people.

Eligibility Criteria
