The State Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched YSR Housing Scheme on 12^th July 2019 with a view to providing houses to all the poor citizens of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched this scheme. The name of this scheme has been derived from the father name of the chief Minister that is YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR).

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has started YSR Housing Scheme 2024 with an aim to provide houses to all the poor peoples of the state of Andhra Pradesh. This scheme was the emergence of promise that was done during the elections of Andhra Pradesh by the Chief Minister.

Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the Odisha YSR Housing Scheme under which all the eligible beneficiaries can apply this scheme for availing the benefit of getting houses constructed by the government. 2 types of schemes come under: – YSR Economic Weaker Section Scheme and YSR Urban Housing Scheme. Around 31 lakhs of houses will be constructed. 1.50 lakh will be spent On constructing per house.

Objectives Of YSR Housing Scheme 2024

One of the foremost objectives of launching the YSR Housing Scheme is the provide free of cost houses to all the poor people of the state so that they will be able to fulfil their dreams of having their own houses. Houses will be constructed for those applicants who have low income and they belong to the section of Economic Weaker.

The other objective of launching the YSR Housing Scheme provides stability to poor people who not are able to afford houses due to some financial problems. By applying under this scheme all the vulnerable groups will be able to improve their standard of living. Around 30.6 lakhs of beneficiaries have been able to get apply under this scheme.

Division Of Construction Work

State Government of Odisha has distributed the working of constructing homes in a phased manner. There are 2 phases that have been allocated for the implementation of the YSR Housing Scheme. In the first phase, a target of constructing 15.6 lakhs of houses has been fixed. Rs. 28084 cores of expenses have been spent under 1st phase. Under the second phase, around 13 lakhs of houses have been constructed. 1.80 lakh for constructing a single house will be spent.

Exposure Of Plot Layout

About 397 acres of land will be covered for the implementation of this scheme. Around 123.1 plots will be constructed. The plot layout of the Gunkalam Colony has also been exposed by the Chief Minister of Odisha Mr Naveen Mohan Reddy. Whenever the working of house construction will get completed, it will become Nagar Panchayat.

Market Values Of Plots

Chief Minister has also declared the market value of plots before and after the working of construction. Before the construction, the market value of the plot will be the cost Rs. 3 lakh. And when the working of construction will get completed, the market value from Rs. 3 lakh will rise to Rs. 6 to 7 lakh. Around 30.75 lakhs of beneficiaries have been got their benefit under this scheme.

Availability Of Sanitation And Library Faculties

The houses under this scheme will be constructed in a beautiful manner with a pleasant environment. Working on the construction of roads will also be implemented. Underground drainage will be getting set up with the working of constructing the house. Various provisions regarding the maintenance of sanitation and hygiene practices have been granted by officials. Planting the tree is also a must.

Budget Of Expenditure

A budget of Rs. 3,691.79 crores have been sanctioned by the state government of Odisha for the construction of houses. This budget has been introduced by Finance Minister B Rajendra Nath Reddy for the financial year 2020-2021. About 21 welfare schemes have been running in the father’s name of the Chief Minister.

Smart Town Scheme

Under the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, Jagananna Smart Town Scheme has been launched. Those beneficiaries who belong to middle and low-income communities can avail the benefit under this new scheme. The government has covered all the facilities under Smart Town Scheme. The annual income of the beneficiary must be between 3 lakh to 18 lakhs.

YSR EWS Housing Scheme

State Government has also launched YSR EWS Housing Scheme on 12^th July 2019. This scheme has been started by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. Only those beneficiaries can apply under this scheme that belongs to EWS/MIG/LIG Categories. The government will build houses for those who can’t afford to build their own houses due to financial instability.

YSR Urban Housing Scheme (PMAY)

In order to provide pucca houses to poor residents of the state, YSR Urban Housing Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Odisha. This scheme has only started for providing houses to the poor, middle-income sections and lower-income groups of the society. For the successful implementation of this scheme, Rs. 1000/- crores of budget have been allocated by the State Government.

Energy Resourceful Houses

Houses which are being constructed under Jagananna Colonies will be very energy efficient. These houses have been built with the support of both the BEE Confederation and SWISS Confederation. Thermally Comfortable Technology has been used for regulating the temperature in the house. The minimum temperature in the house will be from 2 to 4 degrees.

YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme

YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme has been launched by the cabinet committee on economic affairs on 8th July 2020. Under this scheme, the banks have been ordered by the government for providing loans to poor citizens of the state. About 60,000 applicants have applied under this scheme and they have got their benefits.

Benefits of YSR Housing Scheme 2024

The benefits of this scheme are as follows:-

YSR Housing scheme has been launched under the State Government of Andhra Pardesh on 12^th July 2019.
